With all that shopping you’re sure to stir up a hunger. No day in the northeast would be complete without a stop at a true treasure, not only of Tallahassee, but of the entire state: Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. Voted “Best Garden in Florida” for 2007 by Florida Monthly Magazine, Maclay Gardens offers beautiful surroundings with lots of activities. You can do some fishing or swimming in one of several lakes and ponds, or enjoy cruising around them in a canoe or kayak. If you don’t like the water, be sure to check out the park’s trails on foot, bicycle, or horseback.
