Long considered a mostly residential area, Tallahassee’s Midtown is quickly becoming a hotbed of hip activity. With new nightclubs and bars popping up alongside mainstays like the Leon Pub, there is a place for everyone to hang out. And whatever your stomach is craving, you’re sure to find a joint to please the palate. Chez Pierre is a Tallahassee tradition, offering fine cuisine, a pleasing wine menu, and live music outside most nights of the week.

The best way to fully experience this bustling part of town is to park your wheels and walk. Along Monroe Street you’ll find some of the city’s many locally-owned businesses – a music shop, a used bookstore, tattoo parlor and several restaurants. The new Manor@Midtown is home to an Irish Pub, a clothing boutique, a Brazilian steakhouse, a coffee shop and more. Join the walkers and rollerbladers around Lake Ella, and grab a cup of coffee at the Black Dog Café or wander through the cool little cottage shops.
